Last week, the Senate issued a mandate to the Environment and Communications References Committee to inquire into the impact of climate change in the marine environment including the effect on fish stocks, marine biodiversity and ecosystems and the adequacy of protections for marine biodiversity and biosecurity measures and monitoring systems given current and projected climate change impacts.
