NSW Begins ‘Energy From Waste’ Technology Inquiry

The NSW Legislative Council Planning and Environment Portfolio Committee has commenced an inquiry into waste disposal practices in NSW. The Inquiry will particularly focus on energy from waste technology which includes looking at potential recycling capacities from NSW waste, best-practice jurisdictional comparisons, and any risks of monopolisation of the waste industry through circular models of waste disposal and recycling. The Inquiry is receiving public submissions until 28 May 2017.
