The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) Developing Northern Australia Project Funding Round has been extended to 22nd May 2017 due to the impacts of Cyclone Debbie affecting proposal submissions. The CRC is a product of the White Paper on Developing Northern Australia that was released in mid-2015 and is a framework for the Federal Government’s plans to develop the North. The CRC’s role is to aid in the development of growth opportunities for industry in the North through supporting local research and development.
The CRC funding round is currently open for industry and research. The funding seeks to support short-term projects in the North in agricultural sustainable development as well as other areas. Projects can receive up to three million dollars over three years to further research and development of projects. The projects should have beneficial outcomes specifically for Northern Australian industry. Applications for funding can be submitted here.
