New national database to promote investment in bioenergy industry

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency will contribute three million dollars in funding towards the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation which will assess the accessibility of biofuel and qualify the significance of biomass in the Australian bioenergy industry. The assessment will create a database of knowledge as to where potential biomass locations are and the types and volumes available. It is hoped this database of knowledge will lay the foundation for growth in the bioenergy industry.
