The Inquiry into the Management, Governance and Use of Environmental Water will investigate the Victorian Environmental Water Holder Annual Report 2015-16 and report on the use and governance of water across the state. Four key areas have been identified in the Inquiry’s Terms of Reference. These include: environmental water and its role in blackwater events (deoxygenation of waterways), associated charges with environmental law, barriers to efficient use of environmental law, and the impact of management tools including carryover. The Inquiry is currently receiving submissions.
