Biodiversity and Conservation Scheme Proposed in Western Australia

Biodiversity Conservation Bill 2015 (WA)

This Bill seeks to preserve and conserve the ecological diversity that exists in the State of Western Australia. The Bill will repeal the Wildlife Conservation Act 1950 (WA) and create a new scheme of ecological conservation including education, negation, biodiversity management programmes and sanctions for ill-compliance. The Bill has been read a second time in the Legislative Assembly.
