The State Environmental Planning Policy (Infrastructure) 2007 (NSW) is currently under review as part of the bigger ongoing review of NSW planning policies. The Infrastructure SEPP dictates the planning controls for infrastructure that is of state significance. The efficiency of SEPPs is therefore vital in maintaining a realistic and applicable policy framework. However, there remains a need for strong regulations to limit the potential abuse of liberalising these significant planning regulations. Submissions to this review have now closed.
