Committee Receiving Submissions from QLD Landholders

The Land Access Ombudsman Bill 2017 (QLD) has been referred to the Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources Committee. The bill seeks to increase landholder power in negotiations with resource companies by establishing a dispute resolution ombudsman. Issues with regards to conduct, compensation agreements and make good agreements will all fall under the jurisdiction of the ombudsman. Submissions are currently being received by the Committee.
